Cohesion: The Key to Building Effective Teams

Cohesion: The Key to Building Effective Teams
Finding the ideal rhythm to build cohesion between people creates synergies and creativity.

Creating cohesion can sometimes seem magical, like a fun jam session or falling in love. While we aren't seeking love in the workplace (though it does happen), our focus should be on purposefully fostering cohesion.

Bringing the best talents together and shaping the team to create a seamless workflow that delivers high-quality outcomes is essential. Audiences will fall in love with the results.

A group of people is not inherently a team, just as a collection of resources isn’t. Teams form over time, becoming more effective through collaboration. While team-building retreats with free drinks and workshops can help people bond, real teamwork develops when facing real-work challenges together, navigating the inevitable pain, gain, and chaos that come with complex environments.

Experience and skills are crucial for cohesion. Experience is often underestimated, especially by those new to their profession. From a younger perspective, it might seem that tasks performed by someone with ten years of experience are easy, but this overlooks the value of experience and expertise.

The more experienced and skilled the team members, the faster the team will progress from the start.
